Structure of the Masterclass

 

Beforehand, theory and explanation will be given regarding the correct setting up of the portrait. A grid method is used to set up the portrait, which is an excellent tool for achieving the exact proportions and likeness of the model on the canvas.

The model will first be placed on the canvas in a grisaille (black and white), then we will further develop the model in color with a limited color palette.

Glazing techniques are also applied later in the process to create a beautiful atmosphere in the background. 

Who is Classic Portrait for?

For participants who would like to become familiar with Marco Krauwinkel's working method, based on 17th century painting techniques.

Cost

The 5-day masterclass is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.mincluding all materials, lunch, tea and coffee. It is therefore not necessary to bring your own materials for the Masterclass, such as canvas, paint brushes, etc.

The costs are €735, including VAT (excluding any overnight costs)

NB: For participants who are self-employed in the cultural sector, it is possible tofinancing available for all Masterclasses, lessons and workshops.
